Our Story

It started on the river.

Every year, the same group of friends makes the same trip. Same river. Same early alarm. Same ritual of layering up in the cold dark before the sun touches the water.

One morning, standing in waders waiting for the coffee to finish, it hit. Everything about the trip had been dialed in. The rods, the reels, the steaks, the whiskey. But the coffee was a generic store brand. An afterthought. The one thing we drank every single morning of that trip, and it didn't belong there.

A river like the Gunnison deserves better than that.

And so do the mornings you spend on it.
